Kitchen and Bathroom Trend: Neutral Colors

With the unofficial start to summer approaching this weekend, we are quick to think about popular summer design colors like white and baby blue. While these  are certainly timeless and fitting for the season, more neutral colors like tan, gray and various shades of brown are just as classic and versatile. These are colors you can complement with accessories for  every season: bright-hued canisters and utensils, for example, pop in a beige and off-white kitchen for the spring and summer, while towels and a shower curtain in dark shades cozy up a room in the fall and winter.

Our designers for this project in Attleboro, MA, paired a dark wood island base with a granite countertop in  gradations of brown. The tall windows over the sink allow natural light to flood into the room.

The panelling and tiles in this shower from our Attleboro project give the bathroom a very natural and organic feel, almost as if you were showering outside.

Another project in Attleboro focuses on tones in a range of light beige to dark brown for elements other than the cabinets, which are white. Notice how the natural bright colors of the flowers and food are striking against this neutral palette.

A bathroom in the same house as  the above kitchen uses ties together  shades of sand on the walls and floor. Against these calm tones, the dark wood of the vanity is a striking accent.
